Parks and Recreation
The Village of North Fond du Lac has many parks to enjoy when visiting our community.
Optimist Park - 1744 Park Ridge Lane - Offers a shelter with canvas curtains for protection from bad weather, playground equipment, a gazebo, a fishing pond, a charcoal grill, restrooms attached to the shelter, and off-street parking.
LeMieux Park - 131 North Street - Offers a pavilion, charcoal grill, playground equipment, basketball courts, and onsite restrooms.
Village Park - 200 Winnebago Street - Offers a large pavilion with kitchen (sink, refrigerator, and counter space) charcoal grill, playground, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Restrooms are on-site at the concession stand west of the pavilion. It does include off-street parking.
Tot Park - Corner of Illinois Avenue and Winnebago Street - Small toddler-based playground including sandbox.
Prospect Pond Park - 289 Prospect Avenue - Offers three accessible fishing piers and picnic tables.
Yellowstone Trail Park - A historical CN Railroad caboose sit on this property where you begin your journey on the Yellowstone walking trail. Enjoy the beautiful gardens created by the Master Gardner's Association of Fond du Lac, our signature Village of North Fond du Lac sign across the road, and the amazing landscaping done by Stuarts Landscaping.
Veterans Memorial - 280 Garfield Street - The NFDL Veterans Memorial is our tribute to veterans from all wars. It will be a constant reminder of the selfless service and countless sacrifices made by brave men and women from North Fond du Lac. The Memorial is also a way for future generations to remember and learn about these local heroes and to ensure their dedication is never forgotten.
Community Center - 280 Garfield Street - The Community Center has two rooms available for rent. The Senior Center is the smaller of the two holding about 30-40 people. This room does have a kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and small counter space. Combined Hall is a larger room holding 150-200 people and includes a full kitchen. There is a charcoal grill outdoors and a playground.
