Police Department Annual Reports
The North Fond
du Lac Police Department prepares very detailed reports which outline a
wide variety of departmental activity for each year. We strongly
encourage community members to review these reports to help familiarize
themselves with the police department and its operations.
Additionally, these reports show, in great detail, the types, general
location, and frequency of criminal and other unlawful activity in our
community. We share this information with the public because we
firmly believe that an informed community is one that is better able to
protect itself from those that choose to violate society's laws and
threaten the safety, security and quality of life in our community.
You will notice that much of the reported
activity is identified by general location within the community.
These locations are listed by district and grid. The geographic
location of these districts/grids can be viewed on our
crime analysis
map. Our community, like any other, is comprised of a number of
neighborhoods which vary greatly. As such, unlawful activity and
quality of life concerns vary widely between different neighborhoods.
The police department uses this information to aid us in determining
emerging problems, establishing priorities and determining resource
allocation. The community can assist us in these efforts by
maintaining awareness of the information contained in these reports and
providing us with recommendations or feedback whenever possible.
These reports are
detailed and, at first glance, can be somewhat challenging to
understand. Please do not hesitate to contact us
(Chief Darren
Pautsch) for assistance in better understanding any of the information
contained in these reports.
