Sump Pumps

Village residents who run their sump pumps into the street should be aware that from November 1 through April 1 it is illegal to pump water onto the street surface, because of the icing problems it creates. Residents are asked to disconnect the piping that runs into the street and to redirect the water into their backyard. Sump pumps may not be diverted into the interior plumbing of the home.
