The Administrative Offices for the Village
of North Fond du Lac are situated in the South end of the Municipal building located at 16
Garfield Street. Offices are open from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday excluding
holidays.
The administrative office is staffed by the Village
Administrator / Clerk / Treasurer, the Deputy Clerk, a Billing Clerk/Office Assistant,
and a Payroll Clerk/Office
Assistant. The
staff is responsible for:
- Processing and
paying invoices for all departments including Spillman Library.
- Payroll processing and reporting for all employees including
volunteers and Spillman Library.
- Processing quarterly and monthly utility
bills for all residential and commercial water and sewer users.
- Tax information for
all entities collected on the tax bill (Fond du Lac County, State of Wisconsin, Moraine
Park Technical College, North Fond du Lac School District, and the Village of North Fond
du Lac). Information is calculated and sent to Fond du Lac County
Finance who enters and prints the tax bills.
Tax
rate from 1999 through 2006.
The
bills are stuffed and mailed by the Administrative Staff. Bills
are collected from mid-December thru January 31st at the Fond
du Lac County Treasurer's Office.
- All federal, state,
and local elections preparation and activities.
- Budget preparation,
from start to finish developing a worksheet for departments, entering department
requests, making revisions, attending meetings, making final amendments and finally
adoption.
- Agenda preparation
for all committee and board meetings. Most
all agendas require backup and copying for committee and/or board members.
- All meetings
require a transcript of the meeting content. Minutes
are prepared by staff before going to Board for final
approval.
- Reservations for
Village Park, LeMieux Park, Municipal Pool and the Community Center.
- Mobile home parking
fee billing for three mobile home parks.
- Annual liquor
licensing, cigarette & soda water, dance hall, haulers, operator (bartender) licenses
for temporary, provisional, and permanent licenses.
- Bookkeeping needs
for the general fund, water department, wastewater department, capital projects, debt
service and TIF districts. Tasks include
setting up receivables, payables, cash receipts, preparing and entering journal entries.
- Preparation and
assistance to auditors when annual audit work is done.
- Reconciliation of
all cash accounts, with daily deposits being made.
- Issuance of annual
dog and cat licenses and report of tags issued to Fond du Lac County Clerk.
All cats and dogs in the Village of North
Fond du Lac must be licensed annually. Tags and licenses will be
issued upon proof of rabies vaccination. A male or female dog
license is $15 per year, the fee for a neutered or spayed dog license is
$10 per year. A cat license is $10 per year for a male or female cat
and $5 for a spayed or neutered cat. Annual licenses must be
renewed by March 31st each year to avoid a $5.00 late fee.
The office staff
also answers phone calls relating to refuse & recycling issues, utility inquiries,
municipal pool, ordinance and State Statute clarification.
